In February 2021, we began collaborating with a group of sixteen youth theatres from across the UK, who all made their own versions of When This Is Over too.
We met up in directors’ Zoom workshops and ‘Gatherings’ – online meet-ups for young people involved in the project.
These discussions have informed the way we’ve approached making the play, the content of this blueprint and our plans to bring everyone involved in the next stage of the project together.
All the groups involved created and performed their own first draft of the play between June-July 2021.

Gatherings
Throughout the R&D stage of the When This Is Over project, we organised online Gatherings for young participants to discuss the post-pandemic world with artists and campaigners like Inua Ellams and Letters to the Earth.
